A generously illustrated study of the tarot by Fred Gettings (1937-2013) a British occultist and author who made a lifelong study of the influence of Hermetic and Occult thought on art. He wrote numerous books, perhaps most famously the "Dictionary of Occult, Hermetic and Alchemical Sigils", and left what is apparently a thinly-veiled occult autobiography "Zelator" published under the pseudonym Mark Hedsel. B&W and color illustrations. Published in London, England in 1973. Printed in Italy.
